(Titus 1:9) King James Version
"Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers."

Doctrinal Statement of Faith
The Bible
I believe that the 66 books, Old and New Testaments of the Word of God are the preserved and inspired Word of God. I believe that the Bible is without any errors and is our sole authority for matters of faith and practice. (2 Tim. 3:16; Psalms 12:6-8)

God
I believe there is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all honor, confidence and love. In the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. (Exodus 20:2, 3; 1 Cor. 8:6; 1 Jn. 5:7; Rev. 4:11)
The Trinity
I believe in the Holy Trinity. That there is one God who has eternally existed as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, co-identical in nature, and having the same attributes and perfections. Each person of the Godhead is fully God. (Deut. 6:4; 1 Jn. 5:7-8)
The Son of God
I believe Jesus Christ is fully God. His earthly existence began when He was begotten by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary. Jesus Christ lived a perfect, sinless life. He was fully God, yet fully man. (Jn. 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; 7:14; Philippians 2:5-8; Gal. 4:4-5)
The Holy Spirit
I believe in the Holy Spirit of God, co-equal with God. He is a person, the third member of the trinity, and His present ministries include magnifying the Lord Jesus Christ; convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement; comforting and teaching believers; and edifying the body of Christ. (Jn. 16:7; Acts 5:1-4)
Creation
I believe that God created the world and all the universe in six, literal, 24-hour days as recorded in Genesis. I do not believe in the day-age theory or any other theory that attempts to reconcile evolution with the Bible. God created the world out of nothing by speaking his word. Creation was a direct act of God that was instantaneous, miraculous, and included literal days. Man was created in the image of God and all reproduction was “after their kind” (Gn. 1:1; Job 26:7; Psalm 33:6,9; Jn. 1:3; Col. 1:7)
Man
I believe that all men are born with the sin nature inherited from Adam. This sin nature manifests itself in all mankind. All men, apart from the saving grace of God, will spend eternity in Hell as punishment from a Holy God for personal disobedience and rejection of the Son of God. (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:22-23; Eph. 2:1-3,12)
Salvation
When a person trusts in and relies upon the blood of Christ to save him, he is regenerated and immediately indwelt by the Holy Spirit. This indwelling of the Holy Spirit is not evidenced by speaking in tongues, but by godly living. A saved person possesses eternal life. He is saved NOW. This is a permanent work of grace, never to be repeated. Salvation cannot be lost. Once saved, always saved. Salvation is by grace, through faith. Man cannot work or earn his way to Heaven. Salvation comes by trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 15: 3,4; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9, 10; Acts 16:31; II Peter 3:9; Ephesians 2:8, 9; Ephesians 1:7; Mark 1:15)
Sanctification
I believe a saved person should live a holy, sanctified life. Worldliness should not characterize the Christian's life. Sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of His holiness; it is a progressive work; it is begun in regeneration; and that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, the Sealer and Comforter, in the continual use of the appointed means - especially the Word of God, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness, and prayer (I Thessalonians 4:3; I John 2:29)
Justification
I believe that the great Gospel blessing, which Christ secures to such as believe in Him, is justification. That justification includes the pardon of sin and the promise of eternal life in principle of righteousness. It is bestowed not in consideration of any work of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer’s blood, by virtue of which His perfect righteousness is freely imputed to us of God (Jn. 1:16; Acts 13:39; Rom. 4:4-5; Rom. 5:1,2,9)

Second Coming
I believe in the personal, pre-tribulation return of Jesus in the air to rapture the believers. After this rapture, there will be a 7-year period of Tribulation, followed by the physical return of Jesus to the earth to set up His Kingdom and reign for 1,000 years. (1 Thes. 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; 1 Thes. 1:10; Rev. 3:10; Zec. 14:4-11; Rev. 19:11-16, 20:1-6; Psalm 89:3-4)
Sin & Hell
The saved will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord. The unsaved will be cast into a literal Lake of Fire to suffer conscious torment forever and ever. The souls of unbelievers remain after death in conscious misery until the second resurrection, when with soul and body reunited, they shall appear at the Great White Throne Judgement, and shall be cast into the Lake of Fire, not to be annihilated, but to suffer everlasting, conscious punishment. (Luke 16:19-16; Matt 25:41-46; 2 Thes. 1:7-9; Jude 6-7; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 20:11-15).
Biblical Separation
All saved should live in such a manner as to not bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord. Separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices and associations is commanded of God (2 Tim. 3:1-5; Rom. 12:1,2; 14:13; 1 Jn. 2:15-17; 2 Jn. 9-11; 2 Cor. 6:14-7:1)
Satan
I believe in the personality of Satan: he is the god of this world blinding the minds of them which believe not, and the prince of the powers of darkness. Satan was once holy and enjoyed heavenly honors. However, through pride, and ambition to be as the Almighty, he fell and drew after him a host of angels. Satan is the author of all false doctrine and religions, the chief power of darkness, and destined to judgement of an eternal justice in Hell, a place prepared for him and his angels. (Matt. 4:1-3; Rev. 20:1-3; 2 Cor. 4::3-4; 1 Peter 5:8; Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:14-17)
The Church
I believe that the New Testament churches are local, called out assemblies of baptized believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together to carry out the Great Commission. The Lord is doing His work in this world though local churches. The establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures. (Acts 14:27; 20:17,28-32; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11) I believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control. Christ is the only head of the church. (Acts 13:1-4, 15:19-31, 20:28; Rom. 16:1,4; 1 Cor. 3:9,16; 5:4-7,13; 1 Pet. 5:1-4)
The Ordinances: Baptism & Lord’s Supper
Recognizing the ordinances of baptism by immersion in water and the Lord’s Supper as a Scriptural means of testimony for local churches, I believe that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a BELIEVER, in the name of the Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit, to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior. Our submission to Christian baptism symbolizes our death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The Lord’s Supper is where God’s children by the sacred use of the bread and the cup, are to commemorate together the broken body and shed blood of Christ, and it is to be proceeded always with solemn self-examination. (Acts 8:36, 39: Jn. 3:22,23; Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Acts 2:41,42; 1 Cor. 11:23-28)
Missions
God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ we must use all available means to go to the foreign nations, and not wait for them to come to us. Our ambassadorship must include an effort to win the lost locally as well. (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; Jn. 20:21; 2 Cor. 11:26-28)
Sexuality
I believe that it is God’s commandment that no intimate activity should be engaged in outside of marriage between a man and a woman. I believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, incest, fornication, adultery and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. (Gen. 2:24; 19:5; Leviticus 18:1-20; Rom. 1:26-29; 1 Cor. 5:1,6-9; 1 Thes. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4)
Abortion
I believe that human life begins at conception, and that an unborn child is a living soul. Therefore, abortion, for any reason, is the unjustified and unexcused taking of human life and is a sin against God called murder. I reject any teaching that abortions are justified in cases of rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth or population control, or the mental or physical well-being of the mother. (Job. 3:16; Psalm 51:5; 149:14-16; Isaiah 44: 24; Jer. 1:5; Luke 1:44)
The Evangelist
The work of the evangelist is: a God-called man enabled by the Holy Spirit to specifically focus on the ministry of the gospel through equipping the saints for gospel usefulness, and through preaching the gospel to sinners. He serves for the furtherance of the gospel. The evangelist is also a gift to the local church, just as pastors and teachers. (Acts 21:8; Eph. 4:11-12; 2 Tim. 4:5)
I believe in the personal, pre-tribulation return of Jesus in the air to rapture the believers. After this rapture, there will be a 7-year period of Tribulation, followed by the physical return of Jesus to the earth to set up His Kingdom and reign for 1,000 years.
